14 மோசடி குற்றங்களுக்காக கைது செய்யப்பட்டதை அடுத்து மொன்றியல் மேயர் Michael Applebaum,மேயர் பதவியை ராஜினாமா செய்துள்ளார்.

பதவியிலிருந்து வெளியேறிய அவர் தனக்கெதிரான குற்றச்சாட்டுக்கள் உறுதியற்றவை என செய்தியாளர்களிடம் கூறியுள்ளார்.

Inviting all children and parents (no age bar) to take part in the Quiz / Jeopardy game

to be held at the SVBF temple onSunday June 23rd at 1.30 PM as part of the Anniversary

celebrations. The questions will be from the following categories:

Hindu Mythology, Shlokas, Bhajans, Guru Parampara, Shankaracharya and Devi Sharadamba.

Interested Participants are requested to register by sending an email tomsbshankar@yahoo.com

SIMPLE RULES FOR THE JEOPARDY All children are divided into 2 groups. Each group will have approx

equal number of younger kids and older kids.

Parents are also divided randomly into 2 groups. Thus each of the 2 teams will comprise

of children and parents.

Children will sit in 2 circles in the front and parents will be seated at the back . Seating the children

in a circle is to allow discussion amongst themselves.

Each group will be given some sound producing instrument/tool suhc as a Bell or jagate or

whistle to signal when they are ready with the answer.

To get the children working as a group, we will start by giving them 3 minutes to come up with the

name of their team and nominatee one spokesperson who will be giving out the answers on behalf of the group.

Only the answer from the spokesperson will be considered.

There was a time when we expected nothing of our children but obedience, as opposed to the present, when we expect everything of them but obedience. I would be the most content if my children grew up to be the kind of people who think decorating consists mostly of building enough bookshelves. The first half of our lives is ruined by our parents, and the second half by our children. You know that children are growing up when they start asking questions that have answers. Parents can be good role models and should be encouraged to participate the kids with CMR's Vanna Vanna Chiddukkal Kids' program on Sunday.
